Wanda Gets a Sweater

Against my better judgment I ran to Wal Mart on Saturday for Easter candy for the kids.  While there I discovered they had 3 aisles of clearance crap.  Among that crap I found a very pink dog sweater.

Mavis particularly hated crab hat.

I'm guilty of dressing my cats up for various holidays or whenever I find a ridiculous hat.  Hats don't typically bother them...Mavis looks sad about it, and Wanda just accepts it and moves on.
Poor Cell Phone Quality Picture of Wanda's Pharaoh hat.

After removal, she bit the sweater. And me.
The cat sweater was another dilemma altogether.  First of all, like all sweaters, it came with a size.  I realize Wanda is of a portly stature, but figured that a sweater designed for a small dog would fit my husky cat.  Not so in fact.  The only reason I didn't try the sweater on Mavis first was because she took one look at my Mom walking in the house with me and ran to the basement to hide.  Wanda remained out after Mom left, so I subjected her to such nonsense.  The second problem was trying to get my very bossy cat into a sweater that had arm holes.  After pulling the sweater over her head and realizing that it was going to be a very tight fit, I realized I had to get her little cat arms in.  After that was complete, and the sweater was rolled down her bulky frame, she attempted to stand up with her legs straight out and promptly returned to laying down and glaring at me with her menacing stare.

I could tell you that I'll never dress up my cats again, but I'd be lying.  And one thing I'm not is a liar.  I will say that I will never buy another sweater for the cats.  Chances are I will buy more hats though.
